Meet Curtis

Curtis Dooma, or Thatlinedancecowboy, is a line-dance enthusiast, instructor, choreographer & multiple winner at both the 2024 & 2025 Calgary Dance Stampede.

In the Line-Dance Choreography Division, he has been awarded 5 First Place Medals for his following original choreographies:

He has also received 1st Place in the DanceHall Country Line Dance - Upper Level Division [2024], dancing Rachel McEnaney's "Drinkaby" & 3rd Place in the Social Bar Line-Dance Competition [2025], dancing Jonno Liberman's "The Wolf."

Curtis' Line-Dance journey began in April of 2023 when he took his first line-dance class. He immediately fell in love with it - so much so, that he began instructing, developed his own choreographies, started competing & has never looked back since. Currently, he teaches 6 times a week (@Westworth United Church in River Heights, Winnipeg as well as in Oakbank, Landmark & Cooks Creek, Manitoba) despite still working full-time at the Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre as a Physiotherapist / Orthopedic Technician.

Thatlinedancecowboy has also hosted numerous community events, including:

  • The Children's Hospital Foundation's Ice Crystal Gala "Rhinestone Rodeo" (September 2024);
  •  Wonderful Winter Weekend in Winnipeg Beach (February 2025);
  • Springfield Canada Day Celebration in Dugald (July 2025);
  • "Footloose Fridays" at the Cargo Bar, Assiniboine Park (July 2025);
  • 2025 Manitoba Stampede in Morris (July 2025);
  • "Zoo Nights" at Assiniboine Park Zoo (August 2025); and,
  • The Children's Hospital Foundation's Teddy Bear's Picnic (September 2025).

Curtis was also the sole organizer for the 2025 International Line-Dance FlashMob (Winnipeg & Area) held at both The Forks & at Assiniboine Park in May of 2025, where we danced "A Bar Song" & "Do It All Again."

He even created a fun Video Series, entitled Line-Dance On Location, or LOL's, where he performed Line-Dances at various locations throughout the city/province, each pertaining to the name of the song or dance choreography (101 LOL Videos in total!). For example, his first LOL was "Dance Monkey", which was performed publicly in front of the Assiniboine Park Zoo. So much fun!

Tiffany Parada

Meet Tiffany

I'm very excited to share my passion & love for dance to the community! My dance background includes Ukrainian dance for 14+ years, which included ballet-infused warm-ups from Royal Winnipeg Ballet dancers. I have since dabbled in jazz, ballet & contemporary dance as an adult, and have recently discovered my love for line-dancing!

I currently teach in West St Paul and Fort Richmond, I will be expanding locations in the years to come. I have recently co-choreographed a sassy line-dance with Curtis Dooma (@thatlinedancecowboy) and am looking forward to competing in the Calgary Line Dance competition next year. I'm grateful to be able to do what I love while witnessing new dancers light up when they learn a new dance on the dance floor - it brings me so much joy! Looking forward to more private events, instructor opportunities, and dancing with Curtis anywhere & everywhere we can!
