At In Line To Dance, we are dedicated to supporting the amazing line dance instructors in Manitoba and creating opportunities for our community to come together and dance.

When and Where

Date and Location

The Kick Up the Dust & Dance Event will be held at the 3rd floor of Assiniboia Downs (3975 Portage Avenue) on Saturday, August 8, 2026.

7 - 10:30 pm

There will be a full line dance lesson every 30 minutes and the songs that are taught will be played again later in the evening. Keep dancing between lessons with a mixture of beginner and improver line dances.

We recommend purchasing the tickets in advance (e-transfer or cash). Tickets will also be available for purchase at the event, as capacity allows (cash only).

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of shoes should I wear?

Please bring a clean pair of non-marking shoes. Cowboy boots, sneakers, or any other type of comfortable shoe will work great!

I've never line danced before, how should I prepare?

Join a class with one of the many local line dance instructors, check out the step sheets ahead of time or come and learn with lessons at the In Line To Dance Event.

What is included with my ticket?

Entrance to the event, four line dancing lessons, a canned drink, unlimited water and a snack! 

Other refreshments (non-alcoholic) will be available for purchase at the event for $1 each (cash only).
